About 'House' (Japanease and English)
生活を'家'に例えてみる。
靴や鞄、真鍮の飾り、もちろん椅子やテーブル。
これは'家具'です。
使うことが楽しくなる日々の道具。何かのための必需品。
それから、動く玩具、版画、中空に浮かべるもの達。
これは'窓'です。
時々で入り口になり出口になり、景色を変えて、様々な風を届けてくれます。
'House'にはシンプルな'家具'と風通しの好い'窓'。
目を閉じて静かにすると、そういう風景が浮かび上がります。

I try to put 'Life' as in a metaphor to 'House'.
There is a pair of shoes, a bag, a brazen accessory, of course a chair and a table.
That's 'furniture'.
We enjoy using them as necessities for something in each house, which is to say, as tools for daily.
There is a mobile, copperplate print, and a shape floating in the air, too.
That's 'window'.
The window becomes a way in and out somewhere on occaisions, also bringing us new wind.
With my eyes closed calmly I see a simple 'furniture' and a favorite 'window'.
The scene comes to my mind, the 'House'.

Houseは仕事場です。だれかが来たときでも、裁断の途中
だったり、サンプルがそこら中に散らされていたり、道具
もそのまま置きっぱなしだったり・・・。
思いついてすぐに出来上がったサンプルは壁に貼られ、次
の作品となるまであたためられます。新しい材料はしまわ
れないまま、吊り下げられたりクリップで挟まれたり、カ
タチになる時を待っています。
ここ、Houseのアトリエはカタチとイメージの実験室なのです。

'House.' is a working place.
So if someone comes here unannounced, my cutting work is left in the middle of it,
parts of something are left here and there, and tools also.
New materials are not put away tidily, they are hung or gathered with a clip.
Test pieces are put on the wall the moment I hit upon new ideas, they stay there until they are ready for the next process.
The atelier 'House.' is the laboratory for images and shapes.
